Climate change and building a resilient environment

There is likely to be greater tidal movement and increased severe weather events that will have an impact on the aquatic system such as salt and brackish water moving further upstream. Everything we do to minimise our impact and to repair the damage already done will help. Here are some ways we can have a positive impact:

  • regenerate a riparian area

  • prepare for adaptive management

  • especially for Council and National Parks is replace barriers that impact on instream fauna movement.
